Collection: Prints | Portraits

Modern, contemporary expressive portraits inspired by Carne Griffith's work - I have been experimenting using water soluble inks, tea, wine, vodka and gold leaf. These portraits are loosely based on my daughter Emma but trying to capture a certain mood. I make pencil marks first, then apply ink. The fun bit comes next where I drip/flick various liquids and tilt the paper or blow to make them run. As the colours, liquids and alcohol mix, all sorts of organic effects happen. Once dry, I then go over and make patterns out of the shapes and finally apply gold leaf. These prints are reproductions of the originals. If you would like a print with real gold leaf applied, please contact meSee my prints below.
