Line of Trees in Summer | Original Oil Painting | 4 x 12 inches

A contemporary still life painting in oils of a simple line of trees in a field near us that we walk through often. One day we stopped to chat and I started to really look at the trees rather than just walk past as I so often have. Having taken a photograph, when I got home I painted them quite simply really but the act of painting makes you really observe closely. Now every time I walk through that field I look at the trees which seem more familiar to me now. I'd like to paint the same trees in different seasons if I get round to it!

Painted on a 4x12 inch cradled wooden panel which can be hung on the wall without a frame. 

The painting is finished with a clear varnish to protect the work for years of enjoyment.
