Thistle | Original Oil Painting | 4 x 12 inches

A contemporary still life painting in oils of a beautiful purple thistle. My challenge was to capture the prickliness of the thistle and its leaves and the slightly downy nature of the seedhead.

Painted on a 4x12 inch cradled wooden panel which can be hung on the wall without a frame.

The painting is finished with a clear varnish to protect the work for years of enjoyment.
