Mini Masters

I often look at a detail in a famous painting and think, how did they do that? My answer is to have a go myself and see if I can learn the technique, so I zoom in on a specific detail and try to recreate it - not exactly but just enough to feel I've done a decent job and learnt something in the process. It's really fascinating to do as you get into the mindset of the artist.
